The most important term: SilentHelp is a supportive tool, not a medical service, therapist, or emergency system. If you or someone you know is in danger, call or text 988, text HOME to 741741, or call 911. Do not rely on SilentHelp in an emergency.
SilentHelp is a digital-wellness prototype built by a student. It surfaces patterns in your writing and rhythm and points you toward real human support. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and its detections can be wrong — both missing things and over-flagging things.
SilentHelp is designed for students. If you are under 13, you need a parent or guardian's permission to create an account.
You're responsible for keeping your password safe. Your data lives in your own account and isn't visible to other users. You may delete your account at any time from the Account page — deletion is immediate and permanent, and you're free to sign up again later with the same email.
Don't use SilentHelp to monitor another person without their knowledge and consent. The optional Mac agent must only be installed on your own device, by you. Don't attempt to break, overload, or extract other users' data from the service.
Messages checked by the semantic layer are processed by a third-party AI provider (Groq) to judge meaning, then discarded. AI judgments are probabilistic — treat every popup as a prompt to reflect, not a verdict.
SilentHelp is provided "as is", free of charge, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, its creator is not liable for damages arising from use of the service, including missed detections or false alarms.
These terms and the Privacy Policy may be updated as the project evolves; the "last updated" date will change when they do. Continuing to use SilentHelp after a change means you accept it.
